First Rounder Steven Baron Leads ASG Advisees

Star Group is proud to announce that all of the firm's amateur advisees were
selected in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft. The group was led by catcher Steven
Baron of Ferguson H.S. in Miami, Florida. Steven was selected in the supplemental
first round (33rd overall pick) by the Seattle Mariners.
Following
Baron was outfielder Ruben Sierra Jr., whose father played for years in
the major leagues. Sierra Jr. was selected in the sixth round by the Texas Rangers,
and will be reporting to the club's Arizona facility after proptly signing for
a $125,000.00 bonus.
Other ASG
advisees selected were outfielders Ronnie Richardson (11th - Twins) and
Chase Greene (15th - Mets), right-handed pitcher Harold J. Johnson
(11th - Reds), and catcher Roidany Aguila (18th - Diamondbacks).
Chase
Greene (Mets) and Harold J. Johnson (Reds), who goes by his middle
name Jacob, both have agreed to terms for bonuses which are the equivalent of
fifth round money this year.
Baron,
Richardson and Aguila are in conversations with their selecting clubs in hopes
of reaching an agreement so they can begin their pro careers. If they fail to
come to terms, the young men will continue their development at Duke, Central
Florida, and Bethune Cookman, repsectively.
