Marlins Call Up Alejandro De Aza

All Star Group is happy to announce that the Florida Marlins have purchased the contract of long-time client Alejandro De Aza. Alejandro had been named the Marlins' opening day centerfielder in 2007 and 2008. However, he had both seasons cut short by injury, missing the entire 2008 campaign.

At the time of his promotion De Aza was hitting .279/.345/.442with three homeruns and fifteen RBI in just over one-hundred at-bats. Known for his speed, De Aza played all three outfield positions with the Marlins' Triple-A affiliate New Orleans Zephyrs, and is expected to do the same with the parent club.
