Miguel Abreu Signs On With ASG

All Star Group would like to welcome Baltimore Orioles' second base prospect Miguel Abreu to the family. Abreu joins ASG after a solid performance in 2008 with the Orioles' High A affiliate, the Frederick Keyes, where he hit .275 with twenty-four doubles and twenty-one stolen bases.

Abreu is currently active with the Ponce Lions of the Puerto Rico Winter League. The previous off-season Abreu participated in the prestigious Hawaii Winter Baseball league.

Miguel will be the Orioles' starting secondbaseman in Double-A in 2008, where he hopes to continue his climb towards the Majors.
