All Star Group Clients Prepare for Winter Ball

A total
of forty All Star Group clients will be active in various Winter Leagues
this offseason. Leading the way is a contingent of thirty-three
clients who will be active in the Puerto Rico Baseball League, whose season starts
November 6th. The PRBL comes back after a one year hiatus.
The
ASG clients who will be active in Puerto Rico are led by Washington Nationals'
setup man Saul Rivera, who will be playing with the Caguas Criollos and
New York Mets' right-handed pitcher Tobi Stoner who will report to the
Mayaguez Indians at the end of November after a stint in the prestigious Arizona
Fall League.
The other ASG clients
active in Puerto Rico will be Jose Castro (Caguas), Luis Cruz (Caguas),
Willie Collazo (Carolina), Robert Cosby (Caguas), Jose De La
Torre (Caguas), Charlie Fermaint (Ponce), Fernando Garcia (Arecibo),
Juan Garcia (Mayaguez), Andy Gonzalez (Ponce), Bengie Gonzalez
(Carolina), Antonio Jimenez (Santurce), Martin Maldonado (Mayaguez),
Gabriel Martinez (Ponce), Angel Mercado (Caguas), Sergio Miranda
(Santurce), Erick Monzon (Mayaguez), Angel Morales (Ponce), Reynaldo
Navarro (Caguas), Miguel Negron (Caguas), Alexis Oliveras
(Mayaguez), Danny Ortiz (Caguas), Francisco Ortiz (Mayaguez), Jaime
Ortiz (Arecibo), Wilberto Ortiz (Caguas), Jorge Padilla (Arecibo),
Emmanuel Quiles (Arecibo), R.J. Rodriguez (Caguas), Omir Santos
(Caguas), Neftali Soto (Santurce), Geraldo Valentin (Santurce),
and Helder Velazquez (Carolina).
In
addition, clients Abraham Almonte (Estrellas), Yefri Carvajal (Toros),
Brad Coon (Estrellas), Alejandro De Aza (Toros) and Rafael Rodriguez
(Aguilas) will be active in the Dominican Winter League.
Baltimore
Orioles' slugger Oscar Salazar will be then firm's lone representative
in the Venezuelan Winter League as he will suit up for the La Guaira Sharks.
ASG
will also be represented in Hawaii Winter Baseball as the New York Mets recently
announced that top shortstop prospect Ruben Tejada would be playing in
Hawaii this month.
