Three ASG Clients Named Post-Season All Stars

Luis Montanez

All Star Group is proud to announce that three of its own have been named post-season all stars by their respective leagues. The players selected were Oscar Salazar, Luis Montanez and Angel Morales in the International, Eastern and Appalachian Leagues, respectively.

Salazar was named the top firstbaseman in the AAA International League after finishing second in the league in batting average (.317), third in RBI (85), and tenth in slugging percentage (.512), while also hitting thirteen homeruns.

Montanez was not only named an Eastern League all star, but was also named the league's most valuable player after winning its triple crown. Lou led the EL in batting average (.335), homeruns (26) and RBI (97). Amazingly, Luis finished atop the leader board in these categories even though he was promoted to the majors leagues with three weeks remaining in the Double-A season. Montanez proceeded to hit a homerun in his first major league at-bat, and is currently forging his spot in the Orioles' futire plans.

Lastly, Morales assaulted Appalachian League pitching for a .301/.413/.623 line. Angel also led the AL in homeruns (15) and slugging percentage (1,036) while leading the Elizabethton Twins to the league title.
